Table with Stainless Steel Edge and Hatch

Many of Wall Goldfinger's projects involve metal components. Although we deal with all sorts of metals, stainless steel is the one seen most frequently. Here we feature a variety of stainless details, from edges to inlay to hatches.
Stainless Steel Raceway and Retracting Monitors

WG has become expert in the engineering of sophisticated and complicated metal components. In the photo above, we have a monitor hatch system that presented significant challenges due to space constraints within the base; twenty nine moving monitors are crowded into a very tight elliptical ring. This masterfully executed metalwork features an attractive matte, bead-blasted finish. The "man hole covers", by the way, conceal miniature speakers.

Stainless Steel Inlay and Edges

Above left: Precisely mitered 1/8" wide stainless inlay frames the lightweight stone panels in this multipurpose boardroom table (see our January 2009 newsletter for details on this table). Above right: This curved "D" section edge was one of the most difficult fabrication jobs we’ve faced. Complex geometry and exacting tolerances demanded the highest level of workmanship.

Stainless Steel Hatches

Wall Goldfinger has well-developed designs for rotating, disappearing microphones and table-top speaker phones, and for power/data hatches.  We find these are increasingly popular with our customers.
